I have seen a mountain
That reaches Oh so high,
Where crystal sugar snowflakes
Fall gently from the sky.
And rainbow colored dewdrops
Glisten in the sun,
Around the sugar fairies
Who dance, when day is done.
I never knew how beautiful
Anything could be
Until I saw the Sugar Queen
Looking up at me.
She said “We’re Santa’s
helpers.
We make happiness!
And for your gift on Christmas morn,
You’ll receive a kiss.
Then sure enough, on Christmas morn,
Mother’s tender kiss. . .
Left a drop of fairy sugar
Pressed against my lips.
And in her eyes, mirrored there,
I saw the Sugar Queen,
Standing on
Sugar
Mountain
,
The one that I had seen.
