Good Night

Let me tuck your tiny head

beneath God's cloud of love,

And sing a lullaby to you

of Angels . . . up above.

Let me kiss your baby cheek

and touch your curly hair . . .

For you are what I am living for

my darling, resting there.

And so goodnight my little one

it's time to close your eyes . . .

and drift into a land, your own

of childhood's sweet surprise. (c) Priscilla Rose Wyatt

Once Upon a Dream

Long ago and far away

Across a meadow green,

An elf was picking flowers. . .

Once upon a dream.

I watched him very quietly. . .

He was the cutest thing,

And then when everything was still,

He began to sing.

I am a happy little elf

with lots of work to do,

I make perfume from all the flowers,

Pink, and red, and blue.

I'm such a happy little elf

With secrets I must keep,

For this perfume that I can make

Helps little ones to sleep.

And when its sweetness fills the air

Around their little beds,

I will watch the fairies dance

Above their little heads.

He must have known I saw him there.

I can't recall, you see. . .

Because I awoke at home in bed,

with mother kissing me.

But that is how I learned his plan

And figured out his scheme,

Long ago and far away. . .

Once upon a dream.

SUGAR MOUNTAIN

I have seen a mountain

That reaches Oh so high,

Where crystal sugar snowflakes

Fall gently from the sky.

And rainbow colored dewdrops

Glisten in the sun,

Around the sugar fairies

Who dance, when day is done.

I never knew how beautiful

Anything could be

Until I saw the Sugar Queen

Looking up at me.

She said Were Santa's helpers.

We make happiness!

And for your gift on Christmas morn,

You?ll receive a kiss.

Then sure enough, on Christmas morn,

Mother's tender kiss. . .

Left a drop of fairy sugar

Pressed against my lips.

And in her eyes, mirrored there,

I saw the Sugar Queen,

Standing on Sugar Mountain,

The one that I had seen.
